This weekend I was enlisted by a past bride, and a really great high school friend of mine to design for her cousins wedding. I have to admit, pink is not my number one pick, although it is growing on me. I just wanted to share with you Brittany’s pink Bridal Bouquet, unique garden roses, mini spray roses, soft fragrance from the roses, hand tied with cream and lace ribbon gave this bouquets a old love vintage feel.
I was completely floored after creating this.
We started off delivering personal flowers at the Del Mar Marriott, followed by an on-site set up at the Del Mar Powerhouse for the Ceremony & Reception. The Ceremony overlooked the waves crashing onto the sand, with beautiful pomanders balls adorn the chairs down the aisle. I am SO happy to have met Eria and Russ, I wish them forever happiness & bliss!
Congratulations to my cousin Nhi Nguyen & Grant Hendricks!
Nhi & Grant tied the knot April 21st, 2012. The day started off, delivering personal flowers to the bride in Oceanside, after setting up and some heavy directions guiding the bridal party, I managed to sneak away for the Ceremony and Reception set up. The Ceremony took place at the beautiful Twin Peaks Golf Course in San Marcos, followed by the Reception just feets away. We enjoyed the evening surrounded with laughter from friends and family.
Thank you Nhi & Grant for allowing me to be apart of your special day, congratulations on your marriage, I hope to see mini Hendricks in the mere future!
Darlene’s mother was battling cancer for the last two years, and just recently left us. I’ve met Connie a few times throughout high school and college, hello here and there. Even though I did not know her well, I still learned a few things since her passing. One thing specifically is I rather live a short, happy, productive life instead of a long, uneventful one. I know Connie is watching over everyone, her family & friends, may she rest in peace.
We are not getting any younger… I know now that life is definitely, making no regrets, and ultimately living to its potential fullest.
I made this arrangement in loving memory of Connie Valdez.
I hope she loves it has much as I loved creating it for her.
What got me started in Floral Designs? My love for flowers blossomed when I was a baby, my mom is in love with roses, so we always had a garden at home, I remember as a child, my mom out in the garden, trimming, watering, and just simply just gazing at her garden. Just something about flowers, thinking out of the box, and visually creating them. The way it makes a person feel, such as when a couple is in love, a friendship, just because, feeling down or a death. I reciprocate designing with feelings, mostly inspired by people, places, things.
Designing has always been apart of me, I attended ROP Floral Designs at 16, and graduated high school with a position as an assistant designer at Holiday Flowers of San Diego (closed 2008). At 19 I moved to Sacramento and worked for multiple floral shops, also a large party company that catered to the Capital . Classic Blooms Studio was established in 2009, but was in hiatus while attending Massage School in Sacramento. I graduated from Massage School in December 2010, and relocated back home to San Diego.
Now we are up and running and taking appointments to serve Southern California, you and your event!
I want to thank Debbie Morales, you have taught me so much through the creative eye. Thank you for taking me under your wing, being my inspiration and my mentor, I would not be the designer that I am today…
